The Tagg tracker is almost half the weight (1.1 oz.) and seems to have a better interface....It is a couple bucks more per month though...Mine is extremely accurate. :)
Re: Five things I learned from crashing and losing my Phanto
Sorry for your loss...but the lessons you're bringing forward are good. Given the 33 ft elevation, I bet it's up in a tree. They can be hard to spot looking up into a dark tree against the sky.....Good luck! ;)
EDIT: Watched the...
Ahh...but you are forgetting about Ground Station use. With Ground Station, you can fly well beyond control range, and if you still have fpv it is a big bonus (and very comforting)!
For one thing, you can do a lot of neat setup on the controls. Look at the Futaba setup thread on the first page and look at the cool profile ianwood has developed and made available. A lot more control at your fingertips! Another thing that comes to mind is you can use one radio (and fpv...
Thanks! All input always welcome....I suspect I need to adjust a rate or sensitivity on the switch. The slider moves it as smooth as silk, so I know the gimble can do it. That switch feature in addition to the slider is very handy...if I can just smooth it out a little.

I put my E300 motors in over the weekend and they really sound great. Haven't flown with them yet but I can tell how smooth they are. I put sealed ceramic bearings in (from Ebay) before installing and also did the bullet connector conversion. I'll put ceramic bearings and bullet connectors on...
Looks great Fd....I've got some ordered to replace mine. Will probably do the bullet connectors too. Does anyone know if the bearings are better in the E300's? I have some ceramic bearings that I got on Ebay a while ago but never used them...I wonder if it would be worth putting them in the...
Excellent flight. I am having a lot of success with GS as well, but have not tested much long distance yet. GS is very handy for repeating perimeter checks of my dad's 400 acre ranch! Just curious, it looks like on the way out you were going about 30-33 mph, and on the way back your speed was...
