I know the P4 batteries won't charge if they are too hot. It's a good fail safe.

So "Smart RTH" and "Smart Return-to-Home" are completely different functions? Huh, that is definitely not obvious but good to know.

My understanding of smart RTH is that it will kick in automatically when it detects there is just enough battery juice left to make the return trip. This will occur even if you have solid connection to the controller and didn't press RTH button.

yeah that would be cool, always looking for fellow hobbyists. I can reach the lake and Ampitheater from my house. Pretty fun to fly around that area.

New recreational (for now) flyer here from Central New York (Syracuse Area). Drone of choice was P4.
