    Second transmitter for gimbal tilt

Couple pics: Okay, so there is one issue, which is the calibration does get messed up when you switch over. So it's unfortunately not as easy as flipping the toggle, you have to actually plug in the Phantom in and recalibrate the X2. Not great, but at least I have the option.

    Second transmitter for gimbal tilt

Okay, little update here. I really liked the idea of the wired controller, though it turned out to be more expensive then the wireless system. I decided I didn't want to lose the ability to tilt myself, so I also bought a DPST toggle switch and desoldered just the output pin of the controller...

    Second transmitter for gimbal tilt

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about that, I really like the idea of using the steering wheel to tilt (would seem to be easier to be smoother) so I'd probably just crack it open and remove the spring.

    Second transmitter for gimbal tilt

Hi all! I'm interested in adding a second transmitter for a second person to control the tilt (and maybe the roll?) of my Tarot 2-D gimbal. I was wondering if something simple and dirt cheap like this would work: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... Tx_Rx.html The Tarot has a row...

    Bag/Backpack for Phantom

All, Has there been any discussion in this thread about a backpack that will fit a Phantom 1 with landing gear extensions? Not the fancy extra wide ones, just the carbon fiber/standoff ones that make it about 1.5" taller.

    redacted

Re: DJI Phantom GoodLuckBuy Gimbal Setup Installation Tutori Quick question: When I have the tilt cable hooked up, it no longer stays level absolutely, but instead maintains the tilt angle relative to the quads orientation. So if the cable is unplugged, the camera will always stay level no...

    A little high-speed flying

Feel free to ignore the middle section, but the opening and closing shots are from the Phantom: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5vR570_y_o I wanted to try a little high-speed flying with my new FPV setup. Everything was going great until I dumbly took my eyes off the monitor, lost...

    WTB Tarot gimbal

A crash into a tree and the subsequent 30 foot fall has left my Goodluckbuy gimbal in bad shape. I'd like to use the opportunity to upgrade to the 2-axis Tarot if I can, but I can't spend the full $160ish right now. If anyone has upgraded recently and has an old used one, give me a price. Thanks!

is it too cold for P2?

I've been flying in 10-20 degree weather lately with no problems with my Phantom 1.1.1 (non vision.) The cold will affect the battery life. I'm getting around 6 minutes of flight time in 20 degree weather, and as little as 2 minutes with 10 degree weather and a fairly strong wind.

    First day with Phantom

I used VHB tape, which is just a kind of super duper double sided tape. First song is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se5NBKNcsy4

    First day with Phantom

Aw yeah, thanks for that video! Got pitch control working now! Only weird thing is setting the angles is super strange. I can get it to go not quite 90 degrees, max, in either direction. Still playing around.

    First day with Phantom

It was very easy to set up. That said, I manufacture things for a living so the lack of instructions was greeted with a smile. Your mileage will vary. It did come as a box of parts. I have been trying quite hard to get pitch control to work and I haven't managed to get it yet. It should be...

    Batteries for continous flight?

Thanks for the replies guys. To clarify, I'm looking for constant flight, not longer flight times. What chargers do you guys recommend? I like the idea of having more batteries and charging slower, then less and charging faster.

    Batteries for continous flight?

How many batts/chargers do you guys use if you're going for continuous flight time?
