    Stone Harbor NJ Bans Drones

all well and good saying how your Phantom can't see anything whilst your DSLR can - what if someone is flying a drone with a DSLR (or more usually mirrorless cam such as the GH4/5 - they are classed as drones so the privacy can become a huge issue - it's almost impossible to make laws that apply...

Phantom Rain - Why you should hand catch every single time you land your drone .

As usual we are treated to another load of tosh from a marketeer with a product to sell. There is a risk of injury with every hand catch. There is zero risk of injury to you if you learn how t land properly. Learning how to land is an important part of learning to fly - they both come together :D

Will you be switching from Phantom series to the new Mavic 2 series?

are you still waffling on about this even though you said you weren't interested? :D I'm out of this thread, nothing I've seen will change my opinion, the 'pixel peeping' you speak of was a challenge instigated by Russ so he clearly had an interest in it and that my comment that I could spot...

Will you be switching from Phantom series to the new Mavic 2 series?

yet you continue to join in posting images for comparison and commenting on comparison images! Oh and has Russ has responded maybe he had more interest than you (or indeed than you thought he did) :D

Will you be switching from Phantom series to the new Mavic 2 series?

you like the Mavic 2 Pro, that's great but in straight comparisons and unbiased reviews the P4P seems to offer better quality imagery, more modes, better frame rates etc etc etc. The question was who's planning on switching. Some of those that have switched already are happy, others are not and...

Will you be switching from Phantom series to the new Mavic 2 series?

Thanks Russ - I did it on my laptop so 17" (calibrated) screen. I tried it on the 40" screen but the resolution of the original video wasn't high enough to make any difference. What makes the difference stand out for me is the details (particularly those where there is motion). Look at the...

    Long exposure help

Yep. Photoshop attempts to align the layers and will counteract a bit of drift.

    Long exposure help

that's why you sometimes need to 'cheat' 5 stacked two second images are the same as a ten second exposure in terms of time. Stacking them using layers in photoshop alllows you to remove blurred areas if they are a problem - them image I posted earlier was effectively an 8 second exposure -...

Will you be switching from Phantom series to the new Mavic 2 series?

still waiting for word on how we did deciphering the clips - I'm genuinely interested :D

    Long exposure help

yeah, it probably does because there are ways of achieving the result with up to about ten second exposures. My comment was because you hadn't been bothered to read what other people had said or considered their opinions yet obviously expected them to take heed of yours - kinda rude when you...

Will you be switching from Phantom series to the new Mavic 2 series?

OK, this video seems way too small to offer any accurate guess but after viewing the vimeo file (link in page source) on my laptop .... I'll have a go Initital approach to lighthouse - P4P Second approach to lighthouse - Mavic vertical close up of lighthouse - Mavic flyby out to the water -...

Will you be switching from Phantom series to the new Mavic 2 series?

nope but i regularly provide 4K video to clients who display their media on large screens. Just as an aside - when I first commented on the M2P saying 'don't fall for the badge' you added a pretty snarky comment about me being in a club of one - as the club seems to have grown in size with talks...
