Agree with what's been said above -- F11 is going to produce a lot of diffraction softening your image. Ideally, you want to shoot somewhere between F2.8 and F5.6. There's no real reason to have a smaller aperture when shooting stills.
Aside from that, the images you've posted don't look...
Is that at 100% magnification, Lee? It looks kinda grainy, but not in a way I would normally associate with digital noise (i.e. there's no random color noise that I can see, it's more.. speckled. Got any other examples? What are your noise reduction sliders set at in Lightroom?
I guess it depends what you're comparing it to, Lee, and what your expectations are. I mean, it's still a 1" sensor. It's going to be considerably noisier than a full frame or medium format camera. Iso 100 on the p4p would be roughly equivalent to ISO 800 on a full frame camera in terms of...
I am willing to ship worldwide at the buyer's expense. Paypal is also ok if you cover the transfer fee (0.5% for bank balance, 3.9% for credit card).
In terms of shipping, it should be roughly $40 to the US or Europe for Air Mail w/ tracking. You can get the exact figure by checking out the...
Just to update you all -- I've flown some 50+ flights since the crash with no issues other then some gimble fickleness (but that may have nothing to do with the crash, phantoms are nutorious for not holding a straight horizon..)
Anyway, I'll send it in to DJI for a check and possible...
SOLD
A couple of months old, has about 50 flights on it. Comes with all the standard DJI stuff and one battery. Selling after upgrade to Phantom 4 Pro.
Can hand-deliver in Shenzhen, or Hong Kong. If you want it elsewhere, I can also ship it for $550 without a battery since lithium batteries...
My P4P lost a propeller yesterday and fell from about 40 meters into a tree. Battery was ejected upon landing. On initial examination, damage seems blessedly minor, limited to a chip on one of the landing legs and a very small bulge of the shell along one of the arms.
I did a hover test...
Interesting. I've noticed the same with the X5R and Davinci. Have you tried opening the files in ACR to compare? I wonder if perhaps we're not being misled by DJI Go's histogram, which is most likely based on the h264 proxy. Perhaps DJI is deliberatly lifting the shadows for the h246/h265/jpegs.
Yes, I'll try to film some tests along those lines next time I'm out. I suspect dlog may turn out a bit cleaner simply because of the way the DJI's video encoding seems to lead to extreme macro blocking in the shadows below 10 IRE.
I think the other potential issue with dlog is low light scenes -- I've posted about it in another thread, but even at ISO 100, dlog footage has quite noticable shadow in low light (probably because the shadows are being boosted a fair bit).
