Ok- This is what I have done-
1- Purge computer of the DJI software
2- Installed fresh software
3- Opened up the Phantom to check for damage and connections
4- Hooked up the Phantom and went thru the whole process
(Calibrated everything)
5- New Props
Now to build...
Members-
Today I upgraded with the new transmitter and the binding went well. While I was connected
with the computer I did the new software update to ver 3.12. Anytime I do an update I always do
an advanced IMU calibration. The green bar was moving as it usually does and stops about...
More attention to the quality of the electrical components and the manufacturing details. No cold
solder joints, no shorting of boards. We need reliable battery connections along with a superior
battery. I for one would be willing to pay for these features. Just knowing you have a quality...
Re: VERY IMPORTANT DISCOVERY
Guys- Do any of you know what that plug is called? I have looked everywhere and since the cable
is glued on the gps board, I thought this plug would be in DJI's connector pack. Nope not there.
Also- to those using silicone- be careful! If it smells like vinegar-...

I will share something that happened yesterday. I connected my Phantom to my
laptop as I have done many times before. Upgraded the firmware and checked everything
out. I was doing the calibration as I always do after an upgrade and watching the display
bar proceed across- it...
Yeah- I had the same happen to me- they must use a very soft metal in the screws.
I drilled mine out using a new bit and just big enough to drill the head off. Go slow
and take your time. Then I used needle nose pliers to remove the remaining screw.
I found a screw driver that really fit...
RJNear- Yes it plugged right in- you just have to watch the height of the new plug. Point the
GPS with the arrow to the front and run the software.

GPS Aluminum Folding Antenna Mount
Thanks- Al
Guys- I can assure you there is plenty of room. The picture makes it look closer than it is. I haven't
had a tip over yet and that is my greatest concern. It folds down to store in my case.
Thanks- Al
I did these modifications and the GPS count went from 6-8 to 8-10.
A big improvement! Disconnected the leg compass and ran the calibration software.
Works great! Thanks guys for the past posts on this.
I know we should not have to do these things- but has anybody tried to mount an
elevated GPS antenna on top of their Phantom? It seems this would space the electronics
further away and stop some interference. Just a thought.
