Recreational drone now illegal in most of Canada...

I really don't see the problem seriously. If you are not guilty of anything, there shouldn't be a problem with that. If you do a stupid thing and your drone crash on a car, for exemple, well, be ready to take responssability of your actions. At least, with this, you can be found. Will it stop...

your biggest concern by writing your name, adress and phone number, on your drone, is privacy?

Customer drones are not concidered a UAV, they are concidered as a "Model Aircraft" by this interim order. Definition are clearly written in the first section. An aircraft which does not exceed 35kg, is a Model Aircraft. An aircraft heavier than 35kg is a U.A.V.

    Canada night flight

By the recents new laws, you can't fly a drone anywhere,in Canada, at night. Interim Order Respecting the Use of Model Aircraft - Transport Canada Althought, if it's in a country side, away from civilization (airports, polices), as I hate these new heavy restrictions, I would probably do it though.

Well, any unmanned aircraft that is not an model aircraft ;) By these definitions, Millitary drones are UAVs since they are not "for recreational purposes" as stated in the model aircraft definition. Also, any unmanned aircraft heavier than 35kg, is in the UAV class. (By these definitions) The...

Well, they put definitions to "clarify"-ish [...] model aircraft means an aircraft, the total weight of which does not exceed 35 kg (77.2 pounds), that is mechanically driven or launched into flight for recreational purposes and that is not designed to carry persons or other living creatures...

Recreational drone now illegal in most of Canada...

My bigest concern here is, in our current society, there's alway these mens or womens (I don't want to generalize) who will call 911 over nothing just to annoy peoples, because they need attentions or simply because they are jealous ("I don't have a drone! So he can't have fun!"). I don't know...

Is there any groups or drone club that will try to fight these new regulations? Any groups that could need any type of support, even financial (for lawyers for exemple)

I was soo mad about this when I read this. I don't care if they finally take the 9km from airport seriously (finally). I don't care if they limit the height to 90m (which is pretty low though). My biggest concern is the 75m from anything except trees (al least...), the 500m distance limit and...

    Flying in windy conditions.

Just like jwmcgrath, for me it's not only for the videos. I like piloting. Since my local winds forecasts are pretty actives everydays, I took my drone in, what we can call, heavy conditions. -Winds rarelly lower than 10 mph average speed. The highest I did was 32mph gust speed, I wouldn't redo...
