NEED INPUT ON LANDING ISSUES/STATIC RUNS

Hello and welcome to the forum. Regarding the P3P motors revving when you tilt the aircraft. The P3P is gyroscopically stabilized so if it's tilted when the motors are running it will try to correct it self hence the revving of the motors when tilted.

Anyone using the Strong Arm kit from UAVBITS for stress cracks?

Are you using UAV Bits' Strong arms and.... | DJI Phantom Forum Here is my response on a similar topic.

Are you using UAV Bits' Strong arms and....

Update: Arms removed after 20 +flights some in very high winds and long flights. No cracks or deformities noted. The P3P has over 115 flights and 300k feet traveled.

Thread lock on props? Can it work? Should it? Bad idea? Good idea?

Although I agree we should allow for proper engineering practices to dictate procedures, I am almost sure that the P3 shells were also not engineered to crack so I try to remain objective about faithfully and blindly adopting practices that may initially seem to be right. Thus I believe that...

P3P – Motors mounted at an angle???

Here is another reason why the motors are pitched.

DJi Phantom Advanced (rocking on descent)

Sounds like the new ones. Do they look like these? If so they are the new ones although I don't think they are the contributing factor.

DJi Phantom Advanced (rocking on descent)

Careful with rapid descents. Even though the P3 has slightly angled props to prevent this be careful. Quadcopter Flight School: Vortex Ring State (The Wobble of Death)

    ATTI Flight

I'm sorry I can't give you any advice above and beyond what you have already accomplished in ATTI mode. Perhaps you can explore a config file, similar to the 32 channel 'hack', that would override the compass error and allow you to fly. Curious to see if we have any talented and willing...

    What's the solution, for now?

Hugh, You are describing my exact problem with an iPhone 5s. The 32 channel configuration set to auto and manual did not help. I have been considering downgrading the iOS. There are several post in the general discussion on how to do this. All the best. Albert

    iPad version 9.01 released

I experienced some significant video feed related issues myself with iOS 9. I'm installing 9.0.1 now. I will report back if the update corrected the problems. Thanks for the post. *Update* (09/24/2015) The problem has persisted after the update. Using an iPhone 5s.

    More channels hack

Dear Pilots, I have installed this configuration file and the changes became effective without a hitch. Here is what I have observed in an iPhone 5s that was recently updated to iOS 9. I have used this device often as a backup to my iPad and have never experienced video degradation and seldom...

P3 Average MTBF? (assuming no crashes)

Excellent question. Currently I am quite happy with the purchase of my P3P but after 30 years of deep involvement in RC, I am still surprised that a thousand dollar plus RC aircraft is so inherently user unserviceable. I understand the pros of integrating the components but everything from the...
