This has been a fear of mine and glad to see a solution that works. Only problem here is that most of the trees here seem higher than 40ft. some look to be 60 or 80.
I've been thinking about this same thing as it seems it would be easier than using the phone app for camera tilt control.
Haven't dug into it much yet, but I believe that it may have to be initiated in the software after the lever is installed on the back of the Tx.
It will work, but I wouldn't recommend it. My phone was not compatible with the app so I loaded it onto my 10" Samsung tablet. It worked but it was bulky and the image wasn't so good. I did this because I had nothing else to run the app on. I have since gotten a new Galaxy S3 and it works much...
Well, I just muddled through the upgrade but have yet to test it out. Tonight was the first time I had to rely on the unit to find it's way back. . .
Well as stated, I removed the 4 screws in the back of the remote, then you have to separate the halves at the base of the remote and slide the...

That looks good for the i phone. . . I have the new Samsung S 3 coming tomorrow and I'm working on something that will tether off of that. So far it looks like it has 3.5mm video out and the Fatshark 'Base" has a video in. So with that I'm going to try 3.5mm out of the Samsung to RCA and then a...
I've seen a fair amount of info recommending that the props be upgraded but I'm having a hard time getting a handle on this.
It seems that the original Phantom had 8" props, the Vision has 9.5" props.
Most of the sites that list the props have 8" or 10" and everything I've seen so far is "out...
An Android user is also very interested in attaching a fat shark to the Vision. I too assume that it will incorporate the video out of the phone. I guess the main issue is finding the right means of connecting the phone to the goggles.
Any thoughts?
