POLL CLOSED: Results of 107 Pass Rates?

I know I missed 5 questions because as soon as you are done with the exam your score appears on the screen and you are told the number of questions you missed. You then have an option to click on a link which will tells you the exact questions you missed. I didn't so I don't. To be honest, I...

POLL CLOSED: Results of 107 Pass Rates?

Took my test yesterday (Sunday) and passed with a 92. I didn't have any prior aeronautical knowledge so I started from scratch. Refused to pay any more than the $150 for the test so I studied all the free stuff. My suggestion is to start with the 80+ page FAA Study Guide. That guide will...

Car sensor at gate caused me to crash?

Flying my P3A through our gate - person at the gatehouse was going to open the gate as I approached. The car sensor (you can see on the left in the bushes) threw my drone into a sideways movement right into the bushes. I'm thinking the sensor threw my Phantom into atti mode before I could...

    Country Club flyover

Uwharrie Flyover Flew over the Olde North State Club tennis courts, swimming pool and clubhouse. Got buzzed by a bunch of birds as I went over the trees at about 30 seconds. Nice view of the 18th hole which borders Badin Lake. Probably won't use any of this footage but was a nice fly.

Pop-Up Disclaimer In Go App Requesting Permissions?

Here is the exact verbiage that pops up now before I can take off: "I have the authorization (if required) to fly in this location." "I bear full responsibility for my flight here." There is a check box in front of each statement. Both boxes must be checked before you can take off. I thought...

    1.9.6 Update Question...

I have been flying with 1.8.8 and was having terrible trouble with my gimbal making smooth, level adjustments when I turned the aircraft. I was okay when taking photos because I can easily level the horizon in Lightroom. But filming while slowly panning was terrible as my horizons would tilt...

I've decided to pack my bird up and send her to Dronenerds for repair. Anybody familiar with this group?

    Bird upside down in creek

Thanks for your thoughts. I know there is a long and storied history of DIY repair in the model aircraft hobby, unfortunately I am not knowledgable or skilled in this area. I am a photographer and the drone is my tripod in the sky. I would not trust myself in trying the repair. Does anyone...

    Bird upside down in creek

I've been depressed for three days. I was filming the entrance to a development on High Rock Lake, flying low to capture the bridge and creek. I had my P3S on course lock and was sweeping over the entrance. Third sweep and I stopped at the edge of the woods, about thirty feet vertical. I...

Polar Pro lens cap/gimbal lock for P3S

Glad that's working for you Captain. I'm finding the cap/lock works pretty well but not quite perfect? The fit is good but not great. Would you agree or am I being too picky? In any case, the PolarPro gimbal lock/lens cap is miles ahead of the stock dji mount.

What have you named your drone?

I have a habit of naming the things that are important to me. Pets of course, my car, birds and squirrels that live in my backyard - you get the point. My wife quickly picked up the habit and now is our official 'namer ' of the family. I've been bugging her for weeks to name my P3S, "I'm...
