    Litchi for iOS

$500 - $800 worth of drone, $50 worth of software... seems like a no brainer to me!

    Using gasoline inversion generator

Problem for me is that I can buy 2 to 3 of the cheaper ones for one of the others. For occasional use it is very hard for me to justify. One comment I failed to make on the inverter use in automobiles. A lot of the cigarette lighter type of connections in late model cars are marginal at...

    Using gasoline inversion generator

There are now many much more reasonably priced sine wave inverter generators available on the market. Some of these are a fraction of the price of the Honda. Generac has one on Amazon (800 watts) for $287. I have a Yamaha which is also nice, but it was priced like the Honda. I bought it when...

    Litchi for iOS

It does about everything I need it too.... It is Litchi's intent to have it equal to Android version... In fact there was one feature (tracking) which they implemented in IOS first. They are one of the most responsive developers I have come across. They have very good reputation.

    Litchi for iOS

Great app for a reasonable price... $500 drone... $20 GREAT app... No brainer! Great for planned missions and missions can be designed on your laptop or desktop computer.. Love it!

Crashed doing Waypoint in Litchi, battery drained but never got warning

I believe that third party's, in this case Litchi, unfortunately get blamed for failures that may not be their issue at all. Third party software does not replace DJIs internal software but rather 'hooks' into it through DJI predefined points. In other words, Litchi commanded and interpreted...

    A serious competitor for DJI

Here is what I posted yesterday about the Typhoon H: Let me first say that I am not in the market for a higher end drone. But I do have some observations on the discussion. I started with a DJI Standard and soon realized what the greater range of the Advanced would bring to the party as well...

Just ordered my Typhoon H in lieu of P4

Let me first say that I am not in the market for a higher end drone. But I do have some observations on the discussion. I started with a DJI Standard and soon realized what the greater range of the Advanced would bring to the party as well as other upgraded features in the remote and so I...

    P3P is landing hard

I too have noticed how the P3S is much smoother at landing than the P3A.. . The S acts like it is the one with VPS. The A acts like it just kind of drops to the ground. I have experimented with VPS ON or OFF and the behavior is the same, the A just kind of drops to the ground. One other...

Preferred app for long range runs

i have one minor nit to pick in your response... They in my experience do not respond in 24 hours.. My experience has been mostly minutes to several hours! I too wonder when they sleep. Litchi is simple enough, yet powerful enough to do what I want to do at this point. I am an IOS user.

For those considering getting an iPad Pro for flying...

iPad Pro 9.7" Display Technology Shoot-Out DisplayMate also determined that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro display is "more than 20 percent brighter than the other current iPads" and the "brightest full size production tablet" that it has ever tested. The tablet's brightness measures 511 cd/m2 (nits)...

Nice file transfer option for IOS devices

I was not familiar with iTools before. Seems to do a little more the Simple Transfer but it has not had an update since 2013 - 2014. I don't mind paying $3 for good software... after all I didn't mind paying almost $700 for my Advanced! For my purpose Simple Transfer is, well, simpler and...

Nice file transfer option for IOS devices

I was trying to find something other than iTunes for an easy file transfer solution to put some of my DJI videos on my iPhone / iPad and I found an EXCELLENT app that allows me to transfer media to or from my IOS devices using a PC, Mac, or Linux desktop computer. App is inexpensive at $2.99 or...

Phantom Crashed. Tumbled down. No idea why.

Thanks for a lot of valuable info offered in this post. I will be a lot more attentive to tightening of the props from now on! Previously, I could not understand how the 'self-tightening props could spin off in flight.

    Litchi pre-purchase advise.

And as you suggest it's cheap... $500 - 700 drone, $15 popular app is a no brainer, at least to me.
