I'm sorry that I didn't see your post sooner. I hope you're feeling much better now! If you're still having issues, try a quick Google search for "Setup wifi Windows 8". I will be honest, and any tech who doesn't...
Txfirecop - you are very welcome. I am kinda am kicking myself for not setting up some kinda of commission system with HP or Microsoft based on how many have been sold here. :)
When it comes to tablets, get a tablet for your daily use, not necessarily just for your photos. It comes down to what you're going to use it for, and what control you want over the way the device functions. The advice I'm giving is from 20 years of being a computer tech, but you still should...
Re: A compact PC for connecting to your Phantom in the field
PhantomFanatic - The Stream 8 is not really "better" than the 7. It's 1" larger, has a front & back camera improvement, and can be configured for cellular usage apparently. However, the actual "horsepower" is the same. Same...
Re: A compact PC for connecting to your Phantom in the field
Now that is funny! I just purchased it last night for the 17.99 price, and verified it again before I posted here this morning. So in the span of only a few hours it went up $7.
Re: A compact PC for connecting to your Phantom in the field
Just bought a 32GB Samsung microSD card from Best Buy for $17.99. The sale price is listed online, but in-store it's the regular price. Just have them price match themselves, and now I've got about 43GB free storage for the Stream 7...
Re: A compact PC for connecting to your Phantom in the field
Lake_Flyer - I use OneDrive for the same reason. File sharing is sooo much simpler now.
Johnny Mac- At minimum you're going to want the DJI program for your model. You'll use this to upgrade software, perform calibrations & change...

Jebus -
I would assume that it would work fine, provided you have a USB hub connected to the micro USB on the Stream 7. You can buy USB hubs with a micro connector for the Stream 7, and normal/mini/micro USB connections for your devices.
Re: A compact PC for connecting to your Phantom in the field
Stan - it does have a micro USB connection, and comes with a micro USB to standard USB cable which doubles as the charger. You can run any USB devices that work in Windows, and in order to connect to the Phantom you'll need a USB to...
Re: A compact PC for connecting to your Phantom in the field
To answer a few questions -
IFlyWy - search on ebay for "Stream 7 case". You'll find quite a bit to look at based on colors & free add-ins offered. You'll see some that are even less than $15, but those are almost all coming from...
As a new DJI owner, I wanted something to take into the field with me in order to make changes as needed to the unit itself. I do have an old Windows laptop, but it's bulky and heavy as well. I came across the HP Stream 7, a FULL Windows 8.1 tablet in a compact form. They are normally $99, but...
Pleasure to meet ya! I just bought a Vision 2+. Wow, I'm impressed so far, but only have 4 flights down. I'm being obviously extra cautious as I am new to drones as well. However, I tried to be smart first. I bought a Syma X5C as my trainer, and surely annoyed the wife buzzing around the house...
I'm looking to put together flights through the Rocky Mountains/Roosevelt National Forest/Pawnee National Grasslands. I live in the Loveland/Fort Collins area, within 30 miles of Rocky Mountain National Park. Obviously park flights are banned, but there's still thousands of rugged square miles...
Hello everyone,
I'm new to quadcopters, and just bought a Vision+. Obviously I love it. :) I live in Northern Colorado, and would love to get together with other DJI owners for group flights/etc. I am only about 30 miles from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, and there are tons of...
