An IMU sensor is a combination of an accelerometer and a gyroscope sensor, usually solid state. It is used to detect movements and measure the intensity of movements in terms of acceleration and rotational speeds. It is hard to see how tapping the IMU can have any effect on these things other...
Not a good place to do it as there probably loads of iron re-bar in. the floors and walls?? Depend what the b building is made from.
Never mind the drone lights, what are the lights on the RC doing, especially the L/H one.
Upgrading the firmware on these old drones has proved to be a no-no! Almost everybody gets problems.
I presume these flashing lights are on the RC? Look at the manual, page 27/28 where it explains all the LED's.
Contact DRONE OPTIX.
You're not messing the thread up Jim. Have you read right through the thread? It's a very common problem now with these older drones. Not knowing exactly what your symptoms are, or what you've tried to fix it, it's hard to suggest anything other than to contact DRONR OPTIX for help.
DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THE FIRMWARE!!!
The very fact that the drone and RC are talking to each other rules out firmware issues. You can fly like that if you want, you just won't see what the drone sees.
I had this issue with my P3A and the culprit was ribbon cable from the USB input on the RC...

I eventually sent my kit off to DRONE OPTIX who replaced the remote as there was this issue between the USB interface and the main PCB which I just couldn't resolve. They. are one of the few repair...
Sounds good AndyAlex. Possible a bit of dirt got into a motor, very tight clearances in there, and has now gone? Just feel the motor temperatures after a flight for any overheating.
While arming, could be the gimbal going through its calibration. Might even be a glitch in one of the ESCs. Do you hear anything when hovering?
My Mini2 props give an occasional clunk when arming.
